Hi, I'm Achyutam Yadav, and welcome to my official website. My pen name is 'Abtar', and I'm 22 right now and have been writing poems since 2020. I started my writing journey by writing English poems (I don't know whether 'poem' is the right word, as I had no clue about poetic meter). In 2020, I came across a writing platform, 'YourQuote.' I started posting my writings there. One day, I was scrolling through posts when I came across one where the first two lines rhymed, and then every alternative line rhymed with the first two. This was my first exposure to Ghazals and Urdu Poetry. I loved the structure, and soon it became my only writing style. Then I came to know about the technicalities of writing Ghazals like Behr, Qaafiya, Radeef, etc. With time, I kept learning the concepts of Ghazal writing, which is, by the way, a continuous process even today. In 2023, after writing for 3 and a half years, I had a collection of 100+ Ghazals, which I got published by a self-publishing house. If you are into Ghazals, you might like the book. Not only do I write Ghazals and Nazms, but I have a passion for writing short stories as well. Maybe in future my short stories too will get converted into a book. I would love that.
